Hello there! I’m glad you found me.
I’m a scholar, educator, and dance artist. My work investigates consequences of the structural devaluation of care in the United States. I’m passionate about sharing sociological and choreographic tools with people through community-engaged research and teaching.
I am currently a doctoral candidate and graduate teaching fellow in the Department of Sociology at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Previously, I worked in policy research and arts administration. I’m also a freelance choreographer, performer, and dance educator. I’ve presented my scholarship internationally and have performed, choreographed, and facilitated movement workshops across the East Coast. My research has been published in two peer-reviewed articles and two book chapters and has been funded by UNC-Chapel Hill’s Center for the Study of the American South.
In my free time, you can find me hanging out with friends and neighbors or experimenting in the kitchen with farmers market finds. I use she/her pronouns.
